Assessments
The basic commercial / institutional
Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) assessment is designed to include, as a minimum, four primary
indicators. Testing includes the carbon
dioxide determination, as a surrogate indicator of the adequacy of the outside
air supply to the structure; carbon monoxide determination, as applicable, from
nearby parking garage or other vehicular traffic areas; airborne particulate
count and sizing, as an indicator of the performance of the air-handling unit
at cleaning the air; and temperature/humidity determinations compared with the
ASHRAE comfort criteria. The report of
results and findings will include graphical illustrations to aide in the
understanding of the data, as presented below.
