Occupational-Environmental Control, Inc. (OECI) is an Industrial Hygiene testing and consulting company incorporated in 1981. Industrial hygiene is the profession dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of environmental factors arising in or from the workplace that may result in injury, illness, impairment, or affect the well-being of workers and members of the community. The President of OECI is William (Bill) Vining, Jr. Bill is Certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene, and the Sub-Specialty of Indoor Environmental Quality, by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). He is also a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), and a Diplomate of the Academy of Industrial Hygiene. The AIHA, ASHRAE and ASSE are member societies of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Bill has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, from The University of Texas at Dallas. He received his Bachelor degree from Texas Christian University.
